Course Description: Provider self-efficacy influences the implementation of evidence-based mental health interventions. However, the ways provider self-efficacy is defined and measured in implementation research is not well understood. Common EBIs include those that target parenting behavior, child externalizing behaviors, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use, and trauma. The purpose of the review was to add to current research by revealing the lack of agreed-upon definitions and the measure of provider self-efficacy related to the implementation of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) in addition to researching multiple types of providers and interventions. Future research should include a standardized definition and measurement of provider self-efficacy to advance practice and implementation research.
