Course Description: Online therapy has grown in popularity, but not without controversy. Some view online psychotherapy as a positive development that has the ability to benefit many individuals in need of mental health services, while others view this treatmet modality as a dangerous development that is ethically dubious. Phenomenologically-orientated thematic analysis was employed in the accompanying qualitative study for examination of six psychotherapists’ experiences using online therapy. The idiographic experience of integrative psychotherapists using videoconferencing psychotherapy was discussed. The strengths and limitations associated with implementing this form of treatment were further considered.
