Course Description: This course reviews the current literature on several different eating disorders: Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and other specified feeding or eating disorders. Eating disorders have a long history, with the first documented description of AN occurring in 1689. This course reviews the history, clinical presentation, etiology and information for differentiating between these eating disorders. Recommended treatments include initial outpatient interventions and treating physical and medical conditions as needed.

- Recognize the clinical diagnostic criteria and presentation of AN, BN, BED, ARFID, and other eating disorders
- Review clinical standards and guidelines for assessment and treatment of individuals with eating disorders
